BRONTË LIFTS THINGS

Dance Around The Parsley is short film featuring ‘found choreography’ of hands. The final edit was created in dialogue with music that was pulled apart, designed and re-edited at the same time as the footage was manipulated so that both the visual and the audio material influenced the shaping of the other to create a collage piece of film. The film’s concept came out of my fascination with the performativity of hands as people talk and work and a delight in taking things out of context and placing them with unexpected things. Created in 2016 the possibilities of playing with perspective, light and colour that filmwork offers and the manipulation of sound and image continue to fascinate me.
